Looks like this ass "scoured" only states along the West Coast and those
with high electoral votes -- or something.  And where's the mid-Atlantic states?  All the damned cops in northern Virginia and Washington and they can't find a good donut shop?  Gimme a break.  And you're right, French pastries are not donuts.  Good post, editormum...

I'm not much of a donut fan, but you have an excellent point.
The author should have at least given a short list of the states he "scoured" in his search.  Perhaps then he would have covered all his bases.

He obviously didn't come to Hawaii for Portuguese malasadas.  He'd have included them on his list for sure! (Especially since he's counting non-donuts as donuts.)

Okay-- -I have been to Round Rock donuts-- in fact I get a dozen

every year for my cousin for his birthday-- and two for me. I love that place, but since Texas is one of the most obese states around-- followed closely by the SOUTH-- more donut shops from here should have made the list !!!!
