Ah!  You said it, Straightforward - Behind, not pushing in front.

Thre kinds of "Cons" people perpetrate

#1: pitifully obvious/lame

#2: devious and effective, find out later

#3: You got hit and never found out.

Pushy people tend to live longer, depending upon whom they push.

But your car jumping on the road isn't age related, it is skill related, isn't it?

mneme

Thank you, mneme.  A bell went off as I read your comment, especially the part about it 'unfolds in front of me while I read.'  That's the kind of writer I'd love to be, one where the story tells itself and the writer's voice doesn't intervene.

I've had those phishng phone calls but I haven't seen an email one - yet.

Pat
Thank you very much, Pat.  I hadn't given a thought to the fact that my anonymity was on purpose.  Perhaps I should be enrolled in the Witness Protection Programme, or even DOSPP (Devious Old Senior Protection Programme).

Yes, never leave a footprint with phishers.
I find the old folk the worst at my farmers' market. The way they push in just to get a few sprouts. It is like a badge of pride, an achievement to see how many places they can slip a fe w spots up the line. Of course I do it on the road all the time but that's different. Isn't it?

Oh by the way, if you send me an email, I will send you a link to an article of mine.

Dave
I haven't been around lately, Dave; I've been vacillating and even swithering!  Thank you for the compliment, young man.

I enjoyed reading this, as always. It all unfolds in front of me while I read. - There's often little reward in just doing your bit, apart from knowing you did it :) I had a phishing email from the "executor" of someone's estate - the one whose whole family was wiped out in a car crash and who had no known relatives.... as in 'just send me your name, address etc and you can have a share in the loot,' or words to that effect ... you know the one. If not - don't open it:)
PS - I passed it on to the fraud department of the bank it was supposed to have come from.

There certainly isn't any justice in my little bubble, Sunnybeach.

What a fun read! Perfect! Thank you so much for sharing,
and I mean that sincerely. Although now that I look at this, my appreciation begins to come of as insincere blather... Sorry about that. They lied about your gender for your own good. Or else it was the old lady line jumper who got to the supervisor first...  Let 'em eat cake!

Definitely a day for screaming, John. You gave your thoughts in all directions, though, attempting to teach the Aged Ps some manners and being a good citizen for the bank. The fact that you did both probably makes you feel better than if you did neither though. I always hate it when I haven't done the right thing or I haven't challenged someone who is being ignorant. A finely told tale as ever. Not read you for a while it seems.

You're right there, I-R-W.   I got another phishing email later with the spelling mistakes corrected and this time they addressed me by my name.

Thanks SB101.  I can't wait until I reach that age so that I can jump queues and get away with it.
