Hinduism has a different explanation. It is regarded as a spiritual aptitude . The present aptitude is a reflection of what was done on past lives. I believe that evolved souls have an unlimited capacity for knowledge.

Mine came from my family line: a gene here, a gene there on the aptitude. Lot of aptitude in my family but a little lacking on the motivation and dedication.

Though I'm not accepting of the idea of past or future lives, I do agree with you on corporate greed. Such a pitiful thing. Even in the field of Health Care, in which I was employed as a nurse, it was so evident that the "caring" was not for the patient but for the almighty dollar. They made it difficult for a nurse to take the time to be benevolent or give a little love to patients who so needed it.

thank you for this post, as i am about to have to take a job again. and i might as well go to it with my eyes opened. there is a bag of tricks i carry to jobs. and the biggest is not to take my personal life with me, the less they know about you the better, they have less to use against you. another is dont have an attitude, blend in, become a fly on the wall, aware of what is happening all the time, and you can fly off quickly if need be.
you are so right about the money, i have to work longer and longer at each job just to catch up.
