My Mom said he was so sweet, asking lots of questions about her party and family. She thought he'd want to get off the phone after saying Happy Birthday but seemed quite happy to chatter away.
What a great guy.
Maybe us "foodies" should start our own blogit section

As you may know, and if you don't, you do now, that I like to cook. The Food channel is one of the few things I watch regularly, and my favourite chef is Michael Smith. So you can imagine how thrilled I am that he is actually as nice as he appears to be on his show...
