Re: WavyDavy
Ex Turpi: Parents should get informed.  If you have kids, shouldn't you care about them?  I favor school choice because everybody irrespective of income level should have the opportunity to go to a good school.  Sometimes, the public school in the community is better but most times, it's the private or parochial school.  If people want to remain in the traditional Social Security system, that is fine with me.  The option of enrolling in private accounts should be made available too.  There is nothing wrong with choice and I have confidence that people are capable of making those decisions for themselves and their families.

Hmmmm?
What of those minimum wage workers?

Surely you don't look at working for minimum wage as a career choice?  It is only a beginning.

On the school choice....vouchers would be made available for all.   To give poor American children the opportunity to go to the school suited to their needs......

Both ideas are good if only each parent and each worker can be expected to make a reasonable choice. What of those minimum wage workers? At least the current social security system provides a little at the end of their working days. Will they have anything to invest or even know how to invest? Similarly, how does an uninformed parent make a choice of the school to which her child goes?

Conceptually, these are great postulates. Yet, how practical will the implementation be?

Stay well; walk good my friend.

I think the dems. and the AARP are going to wage full-scale war against the social security idea - I support it, and the school choice idea, as well.
