Yep! I wonder if dinosaurs also tasted like chicken...

It has been proposed for several decades that dinosaurs and birds are
very much related.  In fact, Jurassic Park makes mention of it and it is what -- 15 years old now, 20 if you count the book?  Just backing up a good assumption...

Julia, dear

My most humble apologies! Actually, I started thinking about what I would say, got side-tracked and then probably got overpowered by the scent of Mary's bouquet, lol.

But to get back to your very pertinent question (that earlier one, not the last one, silly!) if 'Shoo' doesn't work, the only other thing that comes to mind is 'Oh f***!'

Re: Good Morning again Naut
Offy hon, I once saw a guy make an omelett with one ostrich egg - it was enough for the whole family. A dinosaur egg might be enough for the whole neighborhood...

Good Morning again Naut
I think I will make some deviled eggs today. If I had a dinosaur egg I would only have to make one?

well, I'll just bet you wouldn't be saying "shoo!"
if the T-rex was standing right in front of you! LOL.

Yeah, I read that post, and also gave you some advice, which you might want to consider...

Wiley,
Well, yeah, I see what you mean! Simply saying 'shoo' might not work in their case, seeing that their on the big side! Maybe a foghorn might do the trick - one would have to experiment...

TAPS
This business of 'cocking their heads and looking at you with one eye as if they are sizing you up for being next' is directly inherited from their ancestor! On the other hand, though, T. Rex wasn't much into watermelons, they would have been safe...

Offy hon
Science seems to bear that out, up to a point - that point being chickens...

They may have, Pat! So far there's no evidence against it...

OTA
Maybe there is some kind of atavistic (or possibly otavistic) genetic memory involved in your case...maybe one of your little mammalian ancestors was devoured by a T. Rex...

Dinosaur-sized banyard chickens could be pretty scary and dangerous, flapping and sqwauking, scratching and pecking.   Have you ever seen what a flock of them can do to watermellons?   Not much left when they are through.  And then, they start cocking their heads and looking at you with one eye as if they are sizing you up for being next.
