If it's of any interest to you, I "flat-lined" 3 times while undergoing quintuple bypass surgery. Did I have a "near-death experience"? Well, after the 3rd flatline, they gave me up when I "just" started breathing again. Throughout the entire episode I was floating and I could hear them talking, but when I tried to open my eyes, the "thought" came to me to just relax, all was as it should be. I was "aware" of other presences, and I felt secure and safe, as if being "cradled". Later, I awoke in the recovery room and I was told that the operation had needed to be repeat and lasted four hours. And my rib cage had to be broken open twice. No tunnel; but there was an experience of "infinity/eternity" as a real dimension.
Did I "experience" a different reality -- have I "changed"? Anyone who has ever had a "near death experience" knows that answer. What do you think? joab
