I don't think we are called to force anything about God, He doesn't. I also don't think we are to ever give ourselves excuses to avoid it when we know someone has been put in our path., After all it may be many people down the road, if ever, that someone you or I initially talked to actually received it. Everything in my life is different with God running it.

I am so thankful that someone in my past shared with me the Gospel.  I would never try to force this upon anyone against their will but, I would be so happy to share with anyone who had a desire to listen and to receive God's message.

Madam Shyness
You're not confused. He does. So many will not do that. Many do not want to hear about him at all.

I am confused.
I thought God accepted and forgave anybody who asked.

Oh I do agree with you. I see no reason why anyone would think they should or could force another to believe like them. Most of the time people have been hurt by many who call themselves Christians. All people who go through the motions of being a Christian are not. Gypsy you are a woman of a strong mind and you will make up your mind about most things from your intelligent findings. I appreciate that about you. I respect your beliefs and wishes as well and I love ya too. The only flaw as I see it is as you said there should not and can not be a force in salvation, and force may be required to save an other's life but you see the force part is on me.... I am forced by my conscience to make the presentation...and that is all.

Justi...
Because I understand that is what you believe I respect that and leave it alone. However, saving someone from dying and forcing them to believe the same as you is not the same thing. You can offer someone your knowledge but you cannot force them to believe. It isn't the same as keeping them from walking off a cliff. The logic is flawed here. I once had a friend spend over an hour telling me all the reasons I should pray. I listened politely. At the end of their speech I said to them, "I find it interesting that you took all that time telling me what you think I should do, yet I didn't even spend a second telling you that you shouldn't pray."
