Hi Tony--I'm trying (still) to catch up on everyone's beautifull writings.
So this comment from me-covers all of your last five Sonnets.(Hope you don't mind)They are ALL splendid pieces of work! This last one makes me think of-how a baby is born Pure=a blank -white-sheet! And then of course-what 'how the world changes'-the baby later on!Chris.

Hi Wiley - it's nice that they stimulate the grey matter a bit - thanks!!
I like the blank slate idea too.

Hi Mary - I nearly used the parent-baby relationship in the poem!!
I wouldn't have picked tomatoes though - can't stand 'em!

I like the blank page idea, gives me a clean slate, always great sonnets that make one think but in my case that's good..............................................................

Hes dear Antoni I agree with what Proc says as well. I so enjoy your sonnet

posted by Kabu on July 2, 2007 at 4:22 PM | link to this | reply

Hi Proc - well it's interesting how people have responded.
I think I was trying to imply that a reverence for perfection of form is a denial of reality - if so, i was praising people like you!!!

Ha ha Enigmaticus - well maybe they partied long into the night!

Hello Sannhet - that's interesting to know. Quite a few have said this.
it surprises me, but it is admirable to not always demand everything to be in symmetrical patterns.

its a great sonnet . For me perfecetion is found in imperfection.
Contradictory hey? think about it.

Great sonnet - I always wondered what else Plato saw in that cave, that he didn't tell us about - you knows those wild and crazy Greeks!

Tony -
Great words, though for me Chaos has its own perfection.

Hi Pelagus! - Good question. I'm not sure - I suppose it can be, if you or
I consider it beautiful. Thanks!!

Hi OTA - that's kind of you! Why is it always five past three?

Hello Powder Jolez - that's very good of you to break a habit for me!
I appreciate your comments - but beware - I don't always write in this vein. I do light-hearted very often too. I hope you'll check it out regularly anyway!

Hi Drohan and thanks.
I must admit, this poem may not be true for everyone so don't worry - but I do think it is true for some! I'm quite pleased with it; I think it's one of my better ones!

Perfection,,,,,"absence of mark or flaw"

Such an objective line for something so.. subjective.. we all do that.. each of us label things pure.. each of us label things good.. but my 'perfect' is not anyone elses "perfect"...You made me thing Sonnet man.. you are Magic! ~ Peace, OTA

Antonio...
I don't like leaving comments on poetry because sometimes it sounds completely trite and just like everyone elses. But I found this poem to be powerful. Memorable even. Which is just about the highest praise I can give someone. I've added you to my favorites because I think I'm now officially a fan.
