traumatize,my foot. the little darlings know how to hand it out but they
cant really cut it can they.  Us oldies leave them in the dust when it comes to character and fortitude.

well, i don't know,
for an $8000 ticket, one really can't expect much more than pbj sandwiches and chicken fingers, can one?  they're lucky not to be served mini bags of peanuts and a dixie cup of tap water...

Can any of the little sweeties' parents say

 "Entitlement"  ?

Actually, it may be something kids come to expect, but I'm thinking the problem is that this is what the parents do so as not to have to spend and hour in the car with their kids. Could be they are too busy for their kids, or that after raising them to such expectations, the kids are no fun to be with.

Punishing? Proc, we don't want to 'traumatize' the little dears...

Re: Naut - I put something up for Offy today, too! Ha, ha, ha! I never did
I am happy to see that you're having a great time! But I always thought one shouldn't eat oysters in a month that doesn't have an 'R' in it. Of course, I could always start spelling this month 'Jurne', and get myself a dozen for tonight...

Re: What are you trying to do, stir up unhappiness among the have-nots?
Pat, if my state of mind is an indicator, the have-nots are already stirring...

That's bizarre!  I think I prefer Offy's story of childhood summer fun.  I guess if you're rich... anything goes. But yes - Where's the friggin eggs benedict!

Naut - I put something up for Offy today, too! Ha, ha, ha! I never did
like peanut butter sandwiches.  I loved bologne, so you could give me that and I'm a happy girl.  I know, I'm weird sometimes.    Give me smoked salmon any day!  Tomorrow I'll be having fresh oysters from Apalachicola en route to Offy's home town of Brandon.  But first I'll meet Blogit's very own MiaElla!

What are you trying to do, stir up unhappiness among the have-nots?
A) it ticks me off that a mighty few folks have the $8K to send the kids to camp, let alone all the other things they throw their money away on while most of us are cutting back because of the gas prices and ripple inflation - milk prices are up, cheese is up, which means pizza joints will charge more...  and 2) I'll bet the little darlings don't even have to take off their shoes and send their backpacks through the scanner at airport security... wah!

Re: That's an expensive flight to camp...
Offy, the camp is so exclusive, no outsiders have been able to get in to find out what's going on...

afzal, even in the Garden of Eden A & E preferred Eggs Benedict to a PB sandwich! The trouble only started when E discovered apples...

Indeed, Powder! As to PB sandwiches, well, I know the stuff is supposed to be good for you, but not necessarily for me...
