So far as we are removed from our origin, the mark, it is sin - the original ghaflah. So true, but so simple. Simply brilliant to our understanding - sweet and crisp, but very meaningful and elevating.

sannhet, that "missing the mark" definition is right on..been ages since

I heard it explained that way...

so "missing the mark can both be wilfully (knowing full well what we're doing) and ignorantly (not being aware of what we're doing)??

Always though inspiring posts my friend. I have found it is a constant work to be involved in searching daily for that Divinity within, and it is beautiful when one feels that for a moment here, a moment there, one can actually feel it, sense it and touch it with the mind.

Very Interesting. The two aspects of the whole "me" ...looked at from different perspectives ,gives fresh thought to this subject of sin and the divine. Thank you, ~Peace, OTA

Interesting thoughts on sin.  Most of us think of sin in terms of doing something evil or bad.  We forget that a disconnect from the Devine is a sin - if not the greatest of all.

very true sanhet ,we born on fetrah which means that all human being born with pure soul but the circumstances and the satanic needs push the people to be away from these godly characteristics

That is indeed a good way of looking at it, Sannhet.
I don't know if people are fundamentally 'good' but they certainly need love and affection, and maybe when they do bad things, it's resentment at not getting enough.
