Sinning is Our Nature. But so is Divinity

Though I do not believe in original sin, I do believe in sin. The original Greek word for sin, hamartano, comes from the field of archery and means to “miss the mark”. In this context, any time one misses the mark with regard to the Divine, one is sinning. Since many of us tend to get caught up in the profane of this world rather then the divine, we are “missing the mark” when it comes to God, so we sin all of the time.
