That's because you have a right to know, smartdog, whether you want to
know or not.

Saul
Sometimes, I think it's not a question of what country we're living in, but which dungeon in hell we occupy.  Some serious madness in this world.  And as much as I try to elude it, there are always reporters there to bring me the story.

Be well,

Then, by all means, Glennb, explain yourself. How much bigger could it be
than the pervasiveness of violence in our daily routine?  I am not much of a recluse, but don't have a problem with the notion of being one...

Saul Relative,
You are again going to accuse me of being an "insufferable"! But you must live a very "gated and closed" life! I am not trying to say "touched" as in feeling or knowing. This is bigger than that! Open up man you can't be that reclused?

It does touch us all -- through the media and the exposure, Glennb.
However, in respect to the actual violence, we are relatively safe in that these cases, although highly publicized, are aberrant and not commonplace.

Just covering up, kingmi. The less said, the better. Dumb in that he
killed her in the first place.  Being a cop, he admitted to a reporter that, although the police had not formally stated he was a suspect, they would be crazy not to be actively investigating him.

Statistics bear out that, when someone disappears, the longer they're gone,
the likelier they are to be found dead (or not be found at all).  That's why they stress the first 48 hours of an investigation.  It is also why Amber Alerts and missing persons cases have foregone the traditional 24-hour waiting period.  In this young woman's case, she had already been missing for at least half a day (the toddler was left to wander the house alone), so they started this case at a disadvantage.

Saul Relative,
Another tragic ending to a tragic story. You keep the faith! It is a hopeful sign! But ask yourself: What is keeping the insanity from touching us all?

saul, this guy says "something happened to her, but i didn't kill her". He
is a cop.  Smart?  or dumb?
