Welcome back, Nautikos! I hate driving in stormy weather...it's hard work,
and a terrible way to begin an adventure, although driving in inclement weather is a kind of adventure, I suppose. After such a day as you had, I'm sorry your dinner was only passable.

It rather terrifies me to drive in that kind of rain, especially if there are 18 wheelers around to swamp you. I'm glad you made it safely.

you had the same crappy weather, did you? While things were never as bad again as on that first day, I had only two days of sun the entire time! But now Im back in Ontario, and it's going to be in in the high eighties all weekend...

Well, proc, this time I did it over two days, driving a total of 17 1/2 hrs, but I have made that trip in 16 hrs, driving straight through, and pushing a bit, and being lucky in not collecting any tickets...

When hubby worked away two years ago I used to solodrive for about 8 hours with two smallish boys to visit him. I could only do it by mentally putting my mind to it. Its so good to see you back.
