It is good to see other reasonable people on the blogging network!    Thanks for your response. 

Such things can go both ways, as well.  I remember Kennedy in the 60s who kept religion out of his campaign, yet he was chastized by many because he was Catholic; I think Lieberman suffered the same, although to a lesser extent in our last Presidential election.  That, too, is wrong, in my opinion.
