Hi Julia, Im just now catching up on so many blogs.
At this rate I will be reading whole night. thanks for your help. I will email you soon. You do so much writing. Is this a fulltime job for you?  I cant seem to do more than two articles a day.  As for roller coasters.  Hmmm,Ive got mixed feelings about them . Never been on one , never had the urge either.  Reason being Im one of those people who get nauseas very easily and after ducking my sons throw-up the first time he went on one 15 years ago I decided to play it safe.

Re: Shocked again by a blogger, or two or three...

Julia,

I always thought I would really enjoy riding those roller coasters when I was a younger man, but somehow I never got around to getting on one.  Yep that's right; I have never been on one either even though I thought I would like them.  I still think that I would for that matter--it's just that I am not quite as brave as I once was and don't expect to ever get on one now.

Well, we never know when a blogger is going to confess another shocking detail, do we. I don't like roller coasters.  They only make me sick.

very cool, nice to know I have some company with my strange addiction! I dream of being like Lucy WHite from Florida, she's a spry 85 year old woman in ACE who rode the coasters over and over. Not sure if she still does, but she had more energy back then than I did!

Yes, I imagine that more people are afraid to fly than are afraid to ride coasters, but who knows?

Do you suppose Bo will enjoy them, too? LOL.

You can't get me on a roller coaster anymore either! I used to have
vertigo, and I'm sure a roller coaster ride would bring it all back!

There was a time when my respect for a guy depended on how he
did with a roller coaster.  Maybe the one at Puyallup, when we went to the state fair. Butter sculptures, prize hogs, bright lights and carnival games were all well and good. But what made it a once-a-year experience was the roller coaster's slow climb, the heart-stopping drops. It was expected the guy would be brave, maybe in spite of a little rush of fear, but afterward he couldn't heave his socks. The real thing that separated the men from the boys: he had to be willing to go again.

JUlia, is it possible than more humans have NEVER been on a plane trip than
any big number who may have avoided roller-coasters? Point taken-- bloggers amaze us. A microcosm of of belief and disbeliefs!

Julia........
I've got a big suite upstairs that's private and just for guests.  It's complete with dish tv and a private bath that overlooks the property.  You are welcome here anytime.   The Pittsburgh airport is just 40 miles away, in the event you fly.

TAPS--
lol, that is true...but not ALWAYS! I've been to some small traditional parks that have great roller coasters and they don't have any of those sickening rides, which I hate as well. Plus, you could always ride the coaster and not look down! ;-)

Julia
My main complaint about roller coasters:  They are always in a place where there are other rides that go round and round.  I cannot be around things that go around and around.  Riding them, watching others ride them or even seeing them from the corner of my eye make me sick as a dog.   Even from the top of the roller coasters, you look down and see things going round and round.   Even Dramamine doesn't help.

OTA--
glad to hear it! There aren't too many near you, but I remember riding the wooden coaster that only operates for a week during a fair in Puyallup (did I spell that correctly? lol).

Oh dear.  Count me in.  I went on a roller coaster and apparently it was tame compared to some of them.  This one was at 6 Flags just north of Chicago and all I kept thinking about was how at the next bend when it slowed down, how I could get off!  Finally, I just put my head between my legs and cried until it ended.
