I do something evil......
On those postage paid envelopes, I just seal them and send them back.  I figure if enough people did that they couldn't afford their solicitations...two wrongs don't make it right, huh?  I'm ashamed.

That is the way it is for my Fashion blog. I paid a price in life to become a fashion designer. When I began writing about being a designer it just took over and the whole junk i coming out and I think it is good for me. It is hard to write. But it is good for me to get it said.

Justi and that's for sure.
The church isn't God. I'll always remain a Christian. I just worship in my own way. Boy the demon thing was bad though and scared me. Did you read what I wrote at domegomes blog or is that gomedome? You know I never meant to share any of this so its a bit hard to get started.

That appears to be the order of the day now, Kabu
Thanks for reading. Be blessed. I wish you would write about the daemons, there is a lot to that. You can give up the church without giving up the Lord. They are not always one and the same. Be blessed.

Re: DO YOU EVER GET OVERWHELEMED BY STUFF?

This is all so true.  Sometime, I think that the Post Office should refuse to deliver all that crap mail and make it illegal to send it to us citizens.  What if we were all to just start writing on it "Return to sender" and send it back to them; could we overwhelm them with their own junk so badly that they would quit sending at least some of it out to us?  Would it be worth trying?  I have done that a few times, but of course just one person doing it wouldn't help any.  Just a thought.

I love the way that you presented your thoughts on the junk that we all receive.

just google How to get off mailing lists
and click on the first entry, from the Direct Marketing Association. That will help!

That would be incredible. Thanks for reading. Yes I get a lot of junk in email as well but I can control it better. My server catches a lot of it before it comes to the inbox. Thanks for reading.

I get much more junk email than I do snail mail.
At least it's much easier to dispose of! You know, there is a way to get off all of those mailing lists, I looked it up once on google for a friend. It really does work--would you like me to get the info for you?

I am so glad you do. There may be some laws against advertising up there. We are larger or higher numbers of businesses I guess. Everybody solocits up for something everyday. You appear to be so thoughtful in many way.

Great comment, thanks. I used never to think I would need a shredder...alas soon I needed it. When we were in development and manufacturing of Bath products a friend who worked for a Federal Bank would give us huge bags of money that had been shredder because it was old or whatever. We made gift boxes stuffed with that. This lasted about a year and they found out it was valuable, people made all sorts of things from it and they began selling it to a broker of some sort. I wonder what we could make from ours? What ya think? LOL

Just - So true
I send personal cards to people through the mail.  It doesn't feel right any other way.  And I must say, while I was in FL, I could NOT believe the amount of junk mail I received.  Here, there's some but I'd only say about one tenth of it.  What ya'll doing down there?

LOL! My shredder is my most important piece of equipment. I get the mail. I shred it. All the shredded stuff goes into special bags that get picked up for recycling. Then it all comes back to me as mail. I shred it. All the shredded stuff goes into special bags that get picked up for recycling. Then it all comes back to me as mail. I shred it. Lol Justi! (better to laugh than cry, eh?..) Oh, how I can relate..
Sitting here with a pile next to me in the only other chair in my office..had to clear off my desk earlier, could barely see the screen...:) My shredder is on the blink..again. Guess I'll have to buy an industrial strength one. Junk mail is taking over the world, methinks, haha..

Re: Taps
I still have one cousin who will not give out her email address. She only uses it for business, I still get a letter from her once in a while. Beautiful handwriting and wonderful stationery. I loved to shop for stationery years ago; it is all cheap now (in quality not price). We don't want people to know where we live, our full name or anything that would give them access to our identity. I loved this comment it brought back wonderful memories. Thank you. Be blessed.

Beats microwaving it like I did..oh and you are so right about the snail mail...I do get good mail sometimes but in many ways I miss the mail box days of cards and letters...The good news about having a bad day is tomorrow it will only be much better dear lady!

Wouldn't it be fun just once more to receive a beautifully penned personal letter on lovely stationary with fancy gold initials and filled with delightful sweet nothings to remember and perhaps a perfumed dried flower enclosed.   Makes me wish I hadn't thrown away that packet of love letters from the fifties tied up in a pink ribbon.  I should have kept them for posterity and given them to Mandy.

Aw Justi...a hard hat? Really?
You know how they talk about people getting road rage while driving?  I get mailbox rage, because like you, I get a bunch of unwanted crap that wastes my time and kills alot of trees.  I hope tomorrow is better for you!
