Re: so the Rev. Norman Vincent Peale is wrong?
If positive thinking is your only way of thinking then I believe yes it is wrong. And from my observation this is the case with the Rev. Norman Vincent Peale....at least this is what he would like others to think. If you dont have negative thoughts you would hardly be human. Anyway, my message is about balance, not one over the other.........regards Waterkat

I guess it's all a matter of attitude.....
But....to paraphrase..."Negative is as Negative does". Personally...I'll take the positive route....life's too short to live in constant negativity......I don't even like being around negative people.....they're very mundane......

That's a good point ... I wish I had thought of this over the weekend,
when we were at the mall, and my mother started shouting at me and asking, "Why do you always have to be so negative all the time?!"
Today, I accidentally stepped on a snail
on the sidewalk in front of our house.
And I thought, I too am like that snail.
I build a defensive wall around myself, a 'shell' if you will.
But my shell isn't made out of a hard, protective substance.
Mine is made out of tin foil and paper bags.
