I think that is wonderful. I think it would be great to write some of that. Hey girl only if you want LOL I was delighted with the recipes. They were so creative, elegant for the conditions don't you think?

Definitely that's the way it was.  My grandmother grew up in a thatched roof cottage in Mala Dobra where they had to do everything the hard way and make do with what they had.  They had to gather wood for the fires, pluck the geese for featherbeds, make their own remedies for medicines, grow their own cabbages, make their own saurkraut, grow their own grapes, make their own wine.  They didn't waste anything.  And no matter how hard they worked, they made time for music and dancing.
