what you say about Islam can also be said about Christianity. You certainly are singling out a religion as being evil above all other religions -- at least that's how I and others perceive it.
there are the same contradictions in Christianity as there are in Islam, and the sorrow is that Christians seem to ignore Christian teachings, just as Muslims do Moslem teachings.

That is an outright lie......
I am only responding to delusional claims made by someone who is enamored with her religion, which is Islam. I would do the same if someone else was claiming something that was unrealistic about their religion in relationship to real world events...... It is Islam that is being painted so simplistically, thus I respond with articles and clips about Islam actions and words that counter those claims......
you see that is what a debate involves....two sides....two views...each putting forth information.......people reading make up their own minds. I would wonder if I could even carry on such a debate in her country without fear of punishment or death......
Though I know you won't agree.....There is no singling out going on......you're twisting things to match your own warped view of life.......a view I certainly would not want to share.

I have just demonstrated that, if we were to adhere strictly to the passages I quoted, then women would have a similar second class status.
also, you and other Christians do take passages from the millenium old Koran to demonstrate Islam's evils.
there is really no difference between what I am doing and what you and other Christians have done.

I'll try and make this real simple.........
You and drohan are making references to quotes from the Bible and the Koran.....you praise her for her information.....then condemn Christians for not living up to the words in our Bible....That we beat our women, too.
Now you post quotes from the Bible to illustrate that the Christian writings were just as bad as the Koran's verses regarding women......apples to oranges
Yet, in your classic style, you fail to see that none of what either of you are saying is relevant. She is taking passages that were written centuries ago to claim that women are respected in the Arab world, today.......you are doing the same, only to disparage Christianity. What she is claiming is not what I am talking about at all.......and her lovely words are talking about how it was intended to be......I am talking about today and how it really is! The good intentions she is referring to are not being followed......... and it's the case in most Arab countries.

thank you xeno-x this very beautiful sure that there is similarities in both religions ..i wish you to put these words on blog of that guy who seem he doesn't know any thing from bible and may be he never read it ...can i borrow your words one day to keep it on my comments or post ....i thank your hard sincere work toward the human beings ...and the deep vision and understanding ,today iam going to write about the rights of women in islam which is more than any rights was given and being giving from any side
