Justi..........

Beautiful!

Our weather is cool enough for a sweater right now,but it warms up later in the day.  We've only seen some daffodils and tulips in bloom.  It's a while yet for the Iris.

Justi-
How lovely!  I see some bugs ust appearing in mine.  My poppies are growing thir stems as well. It was cold today but not freezing. It's supposed to be glorious the rest of the week. Got my fingers crossed and prayers for the storm victims.

Re: Lovely Iris
Greenfields, isn't that interesting that half a world away still the plants have commonality of homes. They are a common flower but I think they are elegant, I love them.

Lovely Iris
I saw the same in my sister's house in the hills last week in north India.  What a coincidence, no?

Re: Taps
Me too. That is why I love them so. They always made me think about those large orchids that were popular when I was a teen. These were at this house when we bought it. No telling how long they have been here. The house was built in 1904. I think these plants began to be cultivated a lot in the 30's or 40's do you know. Plain old Iris but beautiful.

Iris plants have been in my life for as long as I can remember.  They make me feel at home wherever I see them.   I must buy an assortment of the bulbs for Son #3 to plant in his very large yard.  It is one thing he does not have and he has plenty of room for them.  Not until I saw this, and he was just here for a visit, did I made the connection between the two.  Thank you.

Re: Scriber
I don't know what that would be but sounds interesting. I love spring it looks like the earth is struggling to live and is making it.

justi--very nice pics...flowers. The only thing that has bloomed yet,
is my tree that has something that looks like golf balls on it; or cotton balls.  But the rest is starting to make a move, i see, esp. the flower that also has tops that look like cotton balls, at maturity.

Re: TIMMYTALES
Oh I love tulips. I don't have any. They don't do well for some reason for me. That is great.

The snow is still visible a few hundred yards from here, in the foothills. Outside of my house, in the front yard, the tulips are in full bloom.

Yes, springtime is like a wedding, flowers and birds singing everywhere preparing for the solid time of planting and on to harvest of the following summer and fall. Thanks for your comment.

Justi, so beautiful they look, as if playing with each other.
. The message of spring is well brought out by these flowers.
