Yes, cats do dream. Just what about, animal behavourists don't know for certain, though there are several entertaining theories!!
As for adjusting to Miss Harriet, the first step is to let her know that you're not afraid of her. If you are frightened of cats, try to figure out the reason and work on ways to overcome it.
My cats dream almost all the time...Wish I knew they were dreaming about!!
