LOLJaahda. Is there ever a nice word for 'foreigner' (mine);'alien' (your's)

enjoy these flowers sent from america--originally from japan. Did you know that tomatoes, corn/maize, potatoes, turkey, chocolate, tobacco were not known to the world until the Indians were conquered and forced to give it allto us? So why label people aliens, foreigners, savages, saints ...people are just people. Even my favorite Swedes were not always so nicel; remember the vikings. So rudeness---why? sometimes it's because they have no good answer for us; sometimes, they are hiding something else--their fears, home issues...don't give him too much of your precious time and energy. Pray for him, U will relax. Love, Neil

culture shock was tremendous for me, though I l;earned my english in South
AfricA with a slight British accent. It was easier on the telephone than in person....in my first years here. But that was a long way back 1980s. I am not sure whether a foreigner has to pay taxes in the US--if you show earnings in your tax returns for Australia. But I'm no tx advisor. Caveat Emptor!
