Pat
Thank you Pat. As you say, it is only a few dollars, but it all helps. I've never seen the show but I know what you mean. I used to do some freelance sketches for a radio show like that in Scotland. It's good fun but the pay is terrible.

Sounds to me like you're creating an online version of "The Daily Show"
the Jon Stewart thing from the Comedy Channel. You're right -- you'll never run out of material as long as the politicians keep talking out of both sides of their mouths. Congrats on finding a way to make a couple dollars on this stuff. Ell shouldn't worry - they won't recognize her, and if they do they'll think you made it all up. :)
In case you don't get the daily show in the wilds of Canada, fake reporters do "on scene" standups in front of a photo of the White House or another location and make ridiculous comments... They send up folks like Tony Snow (if that's his name) the president's news secretary for his dumb denials and blame shifts...

I heard a speech by a writer once who mentioned small details
from news stories and how they got her to think. She described a story
she read about some refugees who were set up in a flat. The final par
listed what donations they had received down to teatowels. She said
these details set of her thoughts about the people who thought to give
this.

I guess I should get myself an alter ego...
Yep, you will have to tell us more about this "news" plan you have hatched.
