Avant - you have a wonderful purpose in this world. Many of us can

learn a great deal from you.  You are an inspiration to all of us!

You're right. The discovery is more of a fabric, that is layered and reveals itself as we unfold it and examine its true nature.

A great task and a great goal it is not to judge. "Judge ye not", said Jesus. In other words it is an injunction against creating the duality of good and bad. Duality then creates complaints, no matter even when something is good. Like, it should have been better etc., etc. Man has to make a choice though - either to become his own worst enemy, or his own best friend. That he has in his hands, as you have rightly concluded.

Another excellent post Avant...and you're right no one can tell us what our

life's purpose is, it needs to come from within. Some people never take the time for introspection and will never know. I see you know why you are here and I do as well! I've got a laundry list of things! LOL

And our “purpose” is ever changing. Perhaps without periods of wallowing in self pity we would not emerge a compassionate, positive person. A “consumer phase” may very well teach us that happiness is not found in things but rather in charity. The most difficult struggle of all is the one you mention – learning not to judge ourselves. Patience and tolerance is a gift we can extend to others and by extension enrich our own heart. Good post…. So very often we’re so glazed over by the fluff and flurry around us that we forget to stop to ask the question “What is my purpose?”
And as Offbeats said - your purpose is also to help people (and your stories reflect that you do it well).

You're right. It's hard to see through the role when it appears to pay off.

Well, it is one that I have to keep referring to myself as I go along.

Avant, inspiring words. I can see both in your writings,

the perfectionist and the sage. If you remember in my astrology you're a 9 fire type which is the perfectionist. I would love to know your other numbers, give me your birth date again and I'll tell you if you are curious.

Astrology and the universal dialogue through human souls is my life study, though it is inside my purpose which is something akin to "The Healer".

Thanks for sharing, we are all so diverse.

Avant -
Great post! There are very few who have discovered their true role, so you are very lucky. For many, Ego causes them to think they play the lead, when in fact they are the understudy's understudy.

Some very useful insights here!

Of course, an actor plays many roles, sometimes in the same production.  (I relate this to the Parts model, gently mixing metaphors...)

Going further into the theatrical metaphor, it could be revealing to take a look at  set design. makeup and costuming, as well... production values...

Spot on!
One has to learn to accept and love oneself before that love and acceptance can be passed on to others
