I liked Hemmet! So did Eddie, he thought that was clever.
He thought your kitty was cute, too, he's been bugging me for one for a while now.  He really wants a dog (I want both!) but we can't have dogs here.  I'm confused about Carl... he's in the Reserves still?  Where is he going for a month?  I may have read it and forgot it, forgive me. As far as your friend, kick him in the ass for me. The rate of contractors being killed is so high, I'm so sorry you have to see him go. I hope he will be okay and come home safely.  I was going to take a position first in Baghdad, then Afghanistan, with a women's group but my friends and family would have none of it.  I'm pretty sure even Petie and Scrapper, my cats, yelled at me for a while! So, I'll stay here and help Isaac pass math and English, and get Eddie through this mobilization at Pendleton in prep for the surge of 4,000 Marines to Iraq.  They are working him to death.  No Valentine's Day today for us, thanks to Yosemite Sam and the USMC.  We'll have it this weekend when we pawn Isaac off at his friend's. Oohrah!

Hey, just think of how much time you'll have to yourself during that month - and knowing that he's not gone for ages in a combat zone will make it a little less lonely. Then there's the reunion when he gets back. That's always nice.

Bel--
If anyone is longing for spring it is ol' Quirky, the California transplant. Well, one thing is for sure...spring will get here eventually!! Having a kitten to play with would make the time go faster for me.
