Your theory makes sense about having a need to have a belief in anything physical (for agnostics).  However, with weather notoriously cyclical, the entire "strong following" of the Global Warming craze is all based on theories alone, which are oddly not solid.

Naut.....
That was G. K. Chesterton.......he also said:

"If there were no God, there would be no Atheists."

and a later one, which I liked:

"Don't ever take a fence down until you know the reason it was put up."

What were we complaining about during the dust bowl in the 30s? Why in the 70s did someone think we were coming up on an ice age? Hummmm

Thanks, old boy, I appreciate that, and the same to you, of course!

Justi,
thanks for your comments! I guess being a 'true believer' of anything just isn't in my genes...

Your interview was wonderful. I believe you would be a true believer if you understood the Word. I am not at all questioning your ability, I am saying I have been where you are. I am now at another place and had no idea it could ever be. I did not need it to determine my way, my validity or any desperation; I did it because I followed an invitation that can only come from God. A true believer in (the Christian Religion) is different that the title 'a Christian.'

Very well put!
I have conflicting thoughts regarding global warming and they are quite difficult to sort through. You pose a good argument

I like that idea, being hard wired to believe in the first place. Think I'm closer to understanding that than anything my friend.

Yes, and having a belief to make sense of life takes so much thinking stress off me so I can just go to the Playstation and do what's really important on earth. lol

I sometimes talk to myself, but......well, lets not go there.
