Wish you well. Be fine the sooner possible. I'll see a couple of pages back.

I'm well; a little tired, and what happened was a couple of pages back. I'm recovering my equilibrium and trying to get caught up with work. When we have these problems it takes me days to get back to feeling like myself again. I'll be fine.

Sorry to learn that. But what happened? Wishing you a quick and full recovery back to health.

yes, they are clever creatures. We once had a huge swarm settle on a tree outside the window. I had never seen that before (not sure I want to again).

"Aha!" (said Pooh).  Yet we are all very different bears in different places.  I guess it unsettles things for some of Pooh's playmates. - thanks for the books, I'll try to find them :)

partly :) no golddiggers here :) (and no offense intended).  No amount of stings would induce me to stick around for simply riches, but I've got a lot of my life invested in this marriage and I will need to think about this all very carefully.

I'm guessing here. . . ,
Too many stings for exchange for life indulgences.  Am I right??

Take your time working through the restrictions, mneme, but make sure you have a technicolour goal.

There are worse things than not counting the cost for simple pleasures
or for love.  Perhaps that is what I like best about Pooh.

I liked your poem!

Bees fascinate me
especially their heirachy and intelligence for such a small animal

He would no longer be the same Pooh...he would be a new bear, which in my
opinion would be a disaster because, selfish person that I am, I love Pooh just the way he is!  Changing the subject, I have two little books I just love: The Tao of Pooh and  The Te of Piglet both written by Benjamen Hoff  I hope you can find them; each is a little jewel.

what a sad story..  and thanks for your thoughts; I aways manage to bounce back, but it's getting harder. I have a number of restrictions here, and I'm working through it all.

Thank you! - my very own Pooh haiku... I was thinking of Pooh's kindness to his friends, but I see too that he does get himself into trouble too from love of honey. I wonder what he would do if he found himself out of the hundred-acre-wood... with different bees...

Ouch..! Yes, I think running over a hive with a lawnmower would explain that LOL. I realised when I wrote this that it could also be taken more literally than I intended. ( I think it's time for a gentler sonnet or two...)

Thank you - I don't about feeling great to pour it out - you should see what's NOT been blogged yet:) and powerful is the opposite of how I feel some of the time, but I guess it hit the mark. I once commented somewhere that "agape" - Christian love - can sometimes feel like a hair shirt.. this is a bit like that.

thanks for visiting; I can see where it would also calm - a kind of stoic acceptance creeps in somewhere. Plus you realise you are not the only ones going through it.

Thank God for pain...if we couldn't feel the pain of the sting, the purpose
of which is to motivate us to get away from the source of it, (or if we had a high tolerance for pain and just ignored it) well, I guess we would just stand there beside the hive and keep on getting stung until we were stung to death. A beekeepeer must wear protective clothing/gear to get her honey... and still risks getting stung! I love the pooh bear, but I pity his willingness to do the silly things he allows himself to do to get it...oh,the predicaments he gets himself into for honey...and is he ever satisfied?

neither foolish bear

nor padded beekeep...yet i

eat honey daily

I am so sorry your pains are so great. You will overcome. The sweetness has not been deminished by the sting. Be blessed totally blessed.

I happened upon a hive once, unawares, with my lawnmower going which is what made them mad I think.  They attacked me from the rear in droves.  I ran--not even looking back.   It took a long time to get over those welts and the burning and the itching.

Yes.. it was a little fierce but I bet it felt great to pour all that out onto paper/screen.  It felt like you were purging all your disappointments, frustrations, and agonizing encounteres with love.  It was powerful.

A young man here with my same family name but not a relative, died from a bee sting as he exited a swimming pool.

Your well written verse brought not only that to mind, but a certain melancholy about you my friend, as I thought about making this comment.

I wouldn't love honey enough to live anywhere near the hive, I'd move on and let things bee.

WE are sometimes asked to be both, by Life, or Destiny. Either way

...what doesn't kill us makes us better. Think of the beautiful fruit that has to feed not only humans but so many others....and we hate it. Yet, the insect and worm-infested fruit have fed other lives that need to survive (from their point of view).

I had to go and read Prufrock again too - yes, it does seem rather fatalistic. Good thing we have Troosha here today to lighten things up (smiles).

I had to look it up I've never been an Elvis fan; I can see some similarities in the words although the sentiment is rather different. No, no clear answers here, but I'm ever optimistic.

Remember Elvis' 'I Got Stung'...?
Also reminds me a bit of TS Eliot's 'Prufrock' in its tone. I know what you are saying, Mneme. I don't think we can offer answers - but I'm glad you're not rotund!
