Unfortunately, I don't see Rosie going anywhere soon. I don't like the woman; I've never watched The View. But, the producers of the show are merely providing what the audience wants and tolerates.

You misunderstood my point......it had nothing to do with her being gay....but the term "dyke" best exhibits her boorish behavior. Just as "thug" would be appropriate for a straight person.... I have several gay friends and they would call Rosie the very same thing.......

Cruel, backhanded comments and gossip about people are appalling.
This goes on Blogit as well. As far as the Rosie-Donald, etc. thing is concerned, it's show biz - ignore the bad behavior and they'll do something else. As it is, they're all being rewarded and given attention for nasty innuendo and juvenile tantrums.
It seems a bit extreme to suggest taking a mother's children away because she is gay or has indulged in a silly argument with a mogul.

you make some very good points here. I will say this about the Miss America situation. I wanted to see her given a second chance for a reason.
I have a 12 year old daughter and I wanted her to see that if you step up and take responsibility for your actions you can move forward and do some good with the lessons you learned. I am under the impression that one mis-step and she is out, I am hoping she will come out of this with a better message to our young girls.

I don't believe her sexuality has anything to do with her behavior, I have known many (gay men and lesbian women) personally who are nothing like that, they simply try to live their lives with as little drama as possible. I honestly believe even if Rosie were straight she would be just as obnoxious.

I can deal with outspoken and opininated but it's the name calling and the personal attacks that are getting me. If my daughter talked about people the way she and Trump have I would be having fits but then again, I like to believe that I am raising her better than that.

This is a perfect example of adults who failed to grow up.
Immature name calling doesn't make anyone look good, and shame on them both because they have kids. Comments like some of these here, especially Corbin's, aren't any better. Isaac says, "that's dumb," or "they're stupid" to just about anything he doesn't agree with, like, or understand. I told him I'd rather he cuss all the time than call someone names like that because they are different. Rosie is instigating, but let's face it, the View was failing and that's why they hired her. Barbara is talking out of both sides of her mouth. Trump is the WORST... saying she's disgusting because of her size, the way she looks... that, to me, is totally unacceptable. It started because of Rosie's disgust at Trump's sudden leap to a moral high ground with the whole Mrs. USA thing... and she had a point... but how am I supposed to raise my kid when ADULTS act this way? I never thought about it till he came here. Fortunately, he's more well-mannered than most adults in most ways, even my husband! lol... Sorry about the email, I remember it now. I slept for two straight days and I guess at some point looked at it...anyway, I'm out of the coma, and seem to be on the mend for read (hope hope, wish wish). I'm still really weak and have no air, and I sleep a lot, but I have gotten out a bit. Now my body clock is all wonky for sure! I hope you are doing well and that things are going well with Carl on the job front. I'll write back soon. Thanks for being a love.

This is freedom of speech gone amuck. It is fine to call one person something but not another. The trouble there are no boundaries in people's personal lives. If there had been we would all have forced Jerry Springer off the air. His show is the rot gut scum of the earth and he is the ring leader. He and Rosie are two of the same. They are pitifully morally challenged. Rosy should have her children taken away because of what she is doing in public, and on the air. It is indecent behavior before children or anybody for that matter. We all know Donald Trump is too class challenged. She has even made him look better. This is representative of our sick society.

i happened to catch friday's show when they were talking about the 'n'
word and unkind words in general and whether they should or should not be used in a public setting. when kathy griffiths was on as guest, her point was, and i'm quoting loosely, "used in a comedy act it's a separate issue, as it's the fabric of the act. used in a public forum, it's inappropriate." a point that seemd to go right over rosie's head.
i'm very saddened with the road rosie has chosen to walk. she used to be a funny, gentle, caring woman but the power accorded her has infected her as it infects so many. if barbara doesn't stop this nonsense or step away from it, it will be a very sad note for bab's career to end on.
donald? i've had no respect for him ever, the man makes my skin crawl. it's no surprise they find themselves in the same boat, they all boarded it willingly.

I cannot stand her. I couldn't believe her show stayed on the air for as long as it did. I think she has gone (more) insane over the last few years. I think her activities are a ploy for ratings and I think she's gone a bit too far. Whatever her reason, I think she is out of line and I wish that Trump and Walters would just step to the side and let her make an ass out of herself all on her own.
