This is the last words I found from him....
January 12 (2006) - Furloughed Iraqi Information Minister Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf (M.S.S.) has a brand new "gig" (that's entertainment industry lingo)- TV talking head for Abu Dhabi TV! His latest commentary on the capture of Saddam included this, uh, curious statement: "The expected trial needs evidence to be submitted. Everybody talks about war crimes and the like. But the court considers facts and evidence only." Because we all know how much M.S.S. believes in the sanctity of facts and evidence. We forget, are their troops in Baghdad yet?

Bob, is that you?!!!

"They're not even [within] 100 miles [of Baghdad]. They are not in any
place. They hold no place in Iraq. This is an illusion ... they are
trying to sell to the others an illusion." - Baghdad Bob

"They are not in Baghdad. They are not in control of any airport. I tell you this. It is all a lie. They lie. It is a Hollywood movie. You do not believe them." - ibid.

But seriously, I do see your point. I understand that it's possible but I doubt that it occurred. I mean, why would they fake Hussein's death? They want him dead; why wouldn't they just kill him? But you do have a point, and there are a lot of Iraqis who will have those same doubts and fears, which will undoubtedly postpone their putting this dictator's reign of terror behind them.

Sure ~ they could have computer generated that in an effort to end the war.  Good cause.
