Winter hasn't hit here in The South yet.
We're still using suntan lotion down here.

I talked to Hoop (about 20 miles away from you) and he said last weekend many lost power, but he also said when he went to start his car on Sunday that the drivers window fell down into the door...He had to go rent a car ( one of the last 2 at the airport in Lansing I guess.) So he called again on Monday night and said hundreds of people still don't have power..I sure would hope they wood burners or generators.
It's not very warm here either, but the sun is shining and the streets are in good shape after yesterdays big snow~

Now I know why so many of the elderly move to south Florida. It's to thaw out from all those years of living in the cold. Brrrr.. Pull out the woolies, Granma!!!LOL Stay warm!

We've had a number of power outages over the last month or so and that's the first thing that comes to my mind - how are the elderly or someone who is ill managing without?

Stay warm Bel..I know I'm trying to. The snow drifts in my yard are now
about four feet high instead of six...that's some progress! I have been watching our local news and they are talking about how this weather is causing depression in many people....duh....ya think? I haven't seen grass or the ground in over one month, just dirty frozen snow!

It is bitter cold out there today!
When I let my dog out this morning she took one shot of that cold air and wanted to get back in immediately!
