Glorious shining deadly stuff! Ours in Illinois was thicker in spots.
But your winters are usually more seriously chilly and challenging. Flannel jammies and a cuppa tea are just the ticket. :)

Yikes!
I always love how cool the ice looks on the trees and such....but I never love trying to pry my car doors open. LOL
Nice pics

We don't have much snow. When we get bad weather it is that kind. Everything freezes, no power, can't go anywhere the whole ball of wax.

Holy Crapshaw, Bel, myself & Leone watched a documentary about the decline
the climate & the onslaught of a possible big freeze, it mentioned Montreal's power going for a few days on one of these ice storms.
Myself & Leone have stipulated with Mr. W, that if we move to the U.S. we want somewhere with a woodburning stove somewhere in the house, and we want to do survival training aswell!
Yes, we are little scaredy ass, apocalyptic wary freaks.

It is really pretty if you have power and don't have to leave your home. The reality is cold and dangerous!

We had an ice storm like this in Memphis in February of 1994. Several inches of ice covered every surface, weighing down tree limbs which eventually snapped and brought down power lines. Sections of the city remained powerless for days, the remotest areas literally for weeks. The reality of it ruined the beauty.

Oh, my! It's beautiful when the ice sits on everything like that, but the price for that beauty (the weight of the ice) causes alot of problems. Any wind with all of this weather?
