passionflowere there wasnt a tiome when i was as racial as i am now
but Nixon, Reagan, Bush I and now Bush II have pushed me farther and farther into not radicalism, but obstinate opposition to conservative policies which have been demonstrated time and time again to be grossly flawed.

i do find it ludicrous that Bush would even think of using a people whose animosity with Iraqis and who have been considered lower than the dust of Iraqis'' feet, also Turks and Iranians, where Kurds reside, is well known, and whose same animosity might come into play were they to be used in the manner you describe.
Bush is no idiot there?
He's been an idiot all his life -- why stop now.

KURDS?
they've been enemies basically of the Iraqis for decades.
of course if I were Iraqi, I would love a foreign people invading my homeland
oh my god they already have!!!!
and of course Kurds would love to wreak revenge on the Iraqis who have treated them so badly for centuries.
maybe they would like to turn their attention to Turkey, which basically has treated them about as badly as Saddam has (but they are our "allies", so their treatment of the Kurds is hardly mentioned).

I have been more than a little distrubed by the way things have been going. I have watched not just my soldier but several others recently try to climb through the TV screen or the radio to be heard by the people who are screaming pull them out.
I guess it's easy to sit back and talk without actually being there for them.

Damn! "W" accomplished all of that without breaking a sweat! No wonder America is so safe! I hate to be mean, but so what! Having al the sea and air power can only cover so much of this Planet!
