arGee - I've always wondered how some folks get by in life without at least
a minimul amount of natural suspicion when they hear stories such as this.
But in war times it is all about spin with the truth quite often never known. As a submariner, I am sure you have heard all of the cold war stories of fictitious battles that were supposed to have occurred between the then 2 superpowers. One such story circulating in Canada about 30 years ago was that our government was covering up a sea battle between our decrepit navy and the Russians. Supposedly the rooskies had blown a few of our aging fleet's ships out of the water in the North Atlantic, there were no survivors because all of the seamen had horrifically been eaten by sharks as they took to the water......sharks in the North Atlantic? ....Iraqi artists so grateful for being liberated they would work for months just to show their appreciation? .....you can fool most of the people all of the time.
