Walking
I was out walking
one fine summers afternoon
When I heard snuffling
a sort of a grunting tune
erk erk erk
shuffle shuffle shuffle
What I saw first
was an odd kinda sight
It was like registering movement
rather than seeing
what something looks like
That was because
I had never seen this before!
A camoflaged Echidna
was poking its nose
Is was a scooping
and a scraping
and heavens knows
The ants were unsuspecting
and just kinda
dangling in mid air
In one strange way
it just wasn't really fair.
But I guess nature
has its own sense of justice.
Do you think I am strange
for telling you this
For describing my surprise!
And then the resultant bliss
Of stumbling on an Echidna
walking on my track
OK OK
I guess I will go back
to writing my assignment
'A Masters Paper'
you know
I feel that I am struggling
and writhing in the throws
of having an intellectual baby!
Thanks for you post it was fun.
