MandaLee - this guy was a hell of a man. I've found out since that he
knew to burn the truck tires to attract aircraft and only after that seemed to fail did he take off overland.

Wasn't this sad? He did everything he could to save his family-
But it cost him his life.

I kept waiting for them to say WHY he died;or any sign sof attacks by bears
or other animals. Frankly, I was disappointed that the State officials and rescuers failed. He was one mile form the car... they were searching 3 miles away at times. And the wife, Kati, was found with her children by a privately-hired helicopter. So often. we are on our won unless we hire the rescuers ourselves! Shalom, Prayers, Forgiveness
