What a great discription of your father!  You should send it to Michael Savage!  Thanks for commenting.

Holy_Grail...
Thanks for your two cents, I appreciate it.  The whole physical pain thing...I don't know, I guess if a guy wanted to cry about that he could, the two just don't seem connected to me.  I am glad that you were able to overcome your dis-taste of the bush clan to render an honest opinion here, that's beautiful.

I would have hoped most humans to have evolved beyond this

Neanderthal persona.

I was raised by a macho man who washed down raw oysters with moonshine while dealing five-card, who would return from hunting missing shirtsleeves because he couldn’t find the TP, who chose to ‘mark’ the backyard rather then being harped at for missing and hitting the bathroom floor, a macho man who couldn’t hold back the tears when he watched Miracle on 39th Street or listened to Roger Whittiker’s Wreck of the Edmonds Fitzgerald or when my brother almost got killed falling timber or when he was missing my mom. My two brothers also inherited this weakness.

Well it's no secret that I am not fond of any Bush....but that being said, my political views have no bearing on how I feel about this.  I think it's an embarrassment for anyone to bash Bush Sr. for this.  He's a father who got emotional about a son he obviously loves. Who could find fault with that??  I personally think that a man who's not afraid to cry (even from physical pain!) is more of a man than those who hold on to some stupid macho fantasy that they are impervious to such displays of emotion taking hold of them.  I say cry on fellas!

Most men are f**ked up in this area.
Bad teaching. My opinion is that if God hadn't wanted men to cry, he wouldn't have given them tear ducts.
