Don't let it discourage you...
Here in the blogosphere, people have opinions (surprise, surprise) and they are often quite different from those of other bloggers (even bigger suprise... not!) If somebody doesn't like you because of your opinions, then that's their prerogative. I have some pretty sharp opinions (as you could quickly tell by taking a peek at some of my
political cartoons), but I'm not afraid to hear somebody else's opinion... even when it's different from mine. As long as we're not making personal attacks on each other and using profanity, I consider Blogit to be a fun forum to share my material and read those of others. If your anonymous friend doesn't want to communicate with you anymore, just shrug it off and come visit MY blog. I'll hear you out even if you think my opinion is asanine.

I honestly would have to say that I LOVED the humor in your blog, the fun you had with it. Had I been on the receiving end I think I'd be coaxed into good humor! I guess such tactics don't work for everyone.
For sure I appreciate your efforts and I would NOT be leaving blogit thanks to anything you wrote. Of course, had you caused offense, I think it's safe to say you would have also emailed and apologized. Which is what I tried to do . . . only was blocked . . . .

I would just let it go... I think someone was just "charged" up from the previous night's debate and you just happen to get in their path. People can get quite passionate over a post or an argument and by extension start to misinterpret other people's comments. Compare it to being told by someone that they didn't like your new hair cut and a big blow out occurred between you and that friend. The next day someone says "I like your hair" and you respond with "What the f--k do you mean by that?" Residual muck... that's my theory.

I am so sorry this happened to you. And i would feel really bad if you were to leave Blogit......I apologize for sticking with this little battle...but it's been building for weeks......and I decided to attempt to put a stop to it.....i felt using a tool available to me would stop it at least on my blog.....it only worsened it everywhere else, but my blog flowed a lot smoother.......so next, instead of brawling in the dirt, i though a humorous post would "emphasize the absurdity" of it all.....
There's been a lot more than a few that have had ugly things said to them and as a party to what was going on...though I did not say them, I think in some way, my determination, has contributed to their occurrence......and for that I am sorry.

Offbeats, perhaps that's it. Dislikes nurses. Hmmmm,
but every year when a survey is done as to who is considered the most trusted professional, nurses are always at the top -- if not the VERY top. So I shan't let one person's (potential) perspective on nurses get to me.

Parnell, I completely concur with your sentiments.
And in all honesty, THOUGHT I was merely acknowledging that I no longer discuss politics with Blanche. I was laughing at Corbin's blog and making a simple statement about politics. Ooops.

I'm not aiming this at any particular blogger, but, in general, fighting with people on a personal level is a cheap, second-rate way to climb up the rankings. Lots of people use this technique. It's dramatic and everybody clicks to read about the brawl.
Battles should be about ideas not personalities.
