dating code
There's never a defined dating code- I've lost my heart many times because I made "mistakes" that I didn't even know where made. All's fair in love, etc...I just don't get why people call you multiple times when you clearly haven't had a chance to return the call....that doesn't make me cold-hearted or a game player.  I just know what I like- different strokes for different folks. I still have yet to meet him, so you never know how I will feel after that...

Maybe he's not into playing games?
Maybe he called twice because when he sees something that is "right" in his eyes, he's not going to risk losing it by playing games to an unclearly defined dating code??

results...
I did actually call him back tonight, and we set a time to get together tomorrow. I've worked my ass off all weekend, and really just want to veg out and not talk to anyone, but after we made a date, he said he wanted me to call him later to chat....that's cool because he thinks I'm really interesting, but I'm SO freaking tired. I'm kind of like a guy after work- I don't want to talk- I just want to not have to speak for like a few hours. I'm not going to call him later- I will see him tomorrow, but I'm already catching some signals from him....he never explained why he called twice...

If he called twice
He's probably really interested. Couldn't hurt to meet him for coffee could it?

Can't you just give him a call and meet him as a friend?

It could be...
That there was this one of a kind something to do, and it had to be that night, and so he tried again? I don't know. Guys are dumb. I remember getting all turned off over a guy because he was treating me like a trophy date, and I could hear him on the phone with one of his buddies. I was also incredibly hot for someone else at that time, who had recently told me the reason things were the way they were because he was trying to see if we could be in a relationship. Totally bogus, I realize now, (along with a few other juicy details I'm not ready to share yet)...

"I checked my cell phone- he called a second time! Why would you call a second time if I haven't called you back in the first place? Now, I'm kind of turned off, and I wasn't even sure I would have been turned on anyway. We may never know now"....Loved it. You have made me knowledgeable. Can now deal better with girls! Hahaa

Re: Hmmm
He was okay- the evening is fuzzy. I remember him being decent-looking, but I wasn't completely hot for him. He called the first time around noon today and left a message- just said "I met you at blah, blah,blah...give me a call when you get a chance.." Didn't sound too desperate or anything. He called the second time at like 7Pm or so and didn't leave a message...

Hmm.
What was the tone of his voice? How far apart were the messages? Did he sound desperate? Just how cute was he???

maybe he was really bored... or he was drunk, or he really likes you.
Oh so many possibilities.
