TAPS and Justi, as ever I value your level headed comments.
Thanks for the words of wisdom.  I'm going to go practice my cello . . . .

Blanche, what in heaven's name did I say to deserve that comment???
For crying out loud!  I don't blog for two weeks, and then I come back, peruse a bit, discover Corbin's amusing post and then get nailed with your comment.  I believe I mentioned to Corbin that you and I get along well when we don't discuss politics.  Hello!  Is there anything wrong with that observant comment?  You could say the same thing about me.  Fact is, we have gotten along very well as long as we stay away from politics.

Taps, sadly lots of people are tired of posting because of just a few who make it so difficult to do so in peace. I miss Jane's.

Justi, I think there is a little hint given to us in her writing on her "About Me" page:

...blogging has become a virtual daily necessity. It is so easy, I just open the screen and let whatever is on my mind pour out....

Jane's
I keep finding these strange messages all over. I read all through this and did not find out the problem that brought out this comment. I have missed you. Be blessed.

JanesOpinion, this kind of backstabbing nattering and gossiping in Corbin's
site about Liberals, etc is why I do not discuss anything at all with you.  I'm sure you're a very good nurse, but you simply do not get your facts straight. Please.

Thanks, my dear Justi, for your kind words and for missing me.

I simply have not been in the mood to write -- not to mention very busy with so many other parts of my life.  But THANK YOU for your words.

And thanks to Corbin, too.  I have been very amused with some of your recent posts . . . .

I have been missing you and still do. This was such a grand Thanksgiving story. I hope I see you soon.

It sounds wonderful. Geez my sat down after two days of cooking, ate , drank and watched King Kong (they have done that since childhood, the 1938 version) while I watched the Dallas Cowboys kick some butt. The girls play guitar, drums and they had a little rock fest while I danced around the basement.  But your right, it was a grand day and I am so thankful for my family. So where have you been since Thanksgiving?

TAPS
our mad house Christmas shopping starts after your Thanksgiving, because we are suddenly reminded how little is left...

TAPS, I consider myself blessed to be in a family that loves music
and would prefer that over watching TV.  Not to mention the fact that making music probably burns more calories after such a meal as Thanksgiving dinner!!!

JanesOpinion, Your day sounds absolutely delightful, especially the music part.  Back in the days that we lived in the big family home, we had a piano and a few other musical instruments.  We always loved sitting around and singing together.  Now, it seems like football follows the meal.  But, that's all right too.  I like to see the menfolk happy when their team is winning.

Nautikos, I think turkey is wonderful no matter how it is grown, eh?
That's right, you Canadians have a jump start on your holiday festivities.  Does the mad house Christmas shopping start right after your Thanksgiving, too??

Thanks, Corbin, and the same to YOU!

Whacky, I'm glad you had a good time!
Thanks for stopping by.

And that's supposed to be 'turkeys', I don't know how that apostrophe
snuck in there...

Jane
nice to see you had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was nice too, although a lot earlier of course. Maybe that's why the free range turkey's weren't fully grown yet, and we had to do with one from the supermarket...

Glad to see you had.....
a better Turkey Day!   Take care....
