Julie Andrews is scary, Tony, a little too perky, if you know what I mean.

Owooooo (my hound impression)
A bit indistinguishable from a wolf, maybe. But Julie Andrews' teeth are just as lethal.

Hi Tony
A challenge you have well lived up to. I know it can be difficult to be creative about listing boredom in a sonnet, but you do so to enliven your readers. Damn all those who scorn Shakespeare, when a newer version of Shake Spear is already there. Troosha will be trooshly happy, if she hasn't already commented, or, will have already expressed so if she has.

I was going to tell you, Tony, and couldn't because of technical problems,

but those are fixed now, so here's the Anna Akhmatove poem, (not sure if it has a title, it's only 2 stanzas):

He loved 3 things in this world:
Faded maps of America
Evening vespers
and D H Lawrence's White Peacocks

He hated the crying of children
female hysterics
and tea with raspberry jam

And I was his wife.

Tony
What a great post I also dislike when the police misplace their sarcasm

The Hound of Music. I shall forever be using that now.

Gracias, mes amis!
I wonder which Anna Akhmatova poem?

tony sorry about the belated visit, but a worthwhile one indeed!
It is funny and witty, I love the "hound of music", it is my favourite line. I could add to your list of annoying thing, no, not you silly! It is cleverly done. don't ask me to make too much sense tonight. You know why.

Tonyzonit, your poem reminds me of one of Anna Akhmatova's, a short one

Tu es tres gentile, Troosha! Merci.

Tony
Apparently "annoying" works as well.  My list would include;
Waiting for my husband to return to the house (after we got in the car) because he forgot his fags.
    Washing dishes
    Nosey people

No... I'm not disappointed, Tony. Your sonnets are always a delight and a surprise whatever the subject matter may be.

Yes, the 'Friends' song.
Mind you, i ain't down in the dumps or bored. I just decided to write about this. It cheered me up even more than i already was! I recommend it.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.
We have a song here with the phrase, "Not your day, week, or even your year."  I think we all go into that mode from time to time.
