Well, let's see then. Thirteen years since high school.

Maybe something to be said for the kids. They have kept me too busy to notice that I could be achieving something else, and then there's the husband who remains markedly silent as I work my way through all this....I don't know if he's afraid I'll fall on my butt, or that I won't LOL

I am utterly determined to keep on keeping on. Speaking of which, back to re-reading and working every problem in chapters 8 and 9 because I got a lousy score on 8s test, and 9s homework. And then on to correcting said lousy test for .5 point each, then reading chapter 10 and taking notes so that I can test on 9 and quiz on 10 on Wednesday. Yeah, that'd be in about 16 hours, and I gotta sleep. I got a whole lot of work ahead of me. I'll file this lesson in "No matter how easy the material seems in a chapter, make sure you have a firm grip on it-chokehold is best."

Thank goodness I'm not a quitter. I can see it in some of my classmates' eyes. It's over for them, already. Too bad. They could have such a jump on life if they'd just apply themselves. I think I actually have the advantage with age. No hormones to make me run in circles, no pot to smoke or excuses to make. No one to answer to but me. :) Thanks for stoppin' by.

Schatz - the rule of thumb regarding the return to school is that every

year older you get makes it that much more difficult.

Sometimes you just have to jump in with both feet. Good luck with it.

Thanks Pat.

Just a baby... LOL I still feel sixteen, I'm just shocked at how my body doesn't look sixteen anymore. Three kids and years of being sedentary have left me feeling older than I am, I think. Thanks to all the recent activity, I'm starting to get my blood moving again.

Um, wouldn't being middle aged at 60 mean that one lived to one hundred and twenty? I wish!! Sadly, they say that if our kids don't change their exercise levels, they may not outlive us!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday I stopped and let them out at the park...and chased them around, too. It's got me really scared. It's good fear though. The kids that advocates for change.

Oh, and as for being middle aged -- you're still a baby!
Middle aged these days is 55 or 60.  Just look at people of that age -- they look the way 40-somethings looked 30 years ago.  So you've got a long stretch to middle age. :)

Nice analogy! Braided rug, indeed.

Thanks, Whacky. It means a lot that you bloggers are so supportive.

I really appreciate the honesty and the well wishes equally, but the votes of confidence feel so much better!
