Comments on General observations on Oprah

As far as that goes, Jemmie, I've been sicker - regular readers will remember that I've been in the hospital twice this year with life-threatening infections. (I wouldn't wish my mountain of hospital bills on anyone - well, maybe a few of my worst enemies, but that's the subject of another post.) This is just nasty enough of a bug to make me feel terrible - I hope it goes away quickly.

Kidnykid
I have to admit right off the bat that I didn't read your entire post.  But I do want to say I totally know how you are feeling as far as your cold.  I, too, have a nasty cold and feel just awful.

I'm not her follower, either, LadyChardonnay
I disagree strongly with her New Age belief system. Put another way, I think she's barking up the wrong tree.

Mademoiselle - I read the part in a different font color, about a family torn apart by a pack of wild dogs, and got curious about which family got so torn apart. Thanks for commenting, BTW.

Now, I'm not one of these simple-minded followers of Oprah, who can't make any decisions for herself, and just blindly does whatever the woman tells me to.

However, having said that, if Oprah says something, it must be true. And who am I to disobey?

It's sad that a family can be torn apart by something as simple
as a pack of wild dogs.

that's her
it's not that she is a bad cook or anything - it just seems that you "have" to read what's on Oprah's book club list or else.  She has created a dynasty and is now the Queen - but I am not a follower.

Sounds like the "annoying girl cook" might be...
Rachael Ray, of Thirty-Minute Meals fame - she's become the Food Network host people love to hate. She currently has an hour-long show on our local CBS outlet, WBBM-TV, which is produced by guess who? Oprah, through Harpo Productions, which also co-produces Dr. Phil's show. Just look at the end credits of both shows (not 30-Minute Meals or $40 A Day or Tasty Travels - Rachael Ray's hour-long syndicated show and Dr. Phil's show if both are on a TV station in your area).

although Oprah seems like a "nice" person
and donates alot of money to worthy causes - she is a billionaire for a reason - the game of MONOPOLY.  nobody knows what oprah, dr. phil and his family, and whatever that annoying girl cook knows.   whatever steadman's role is i will never know
