I'm also fond of the Beatles' members as solo performers. But I've always wondered what they might have evolved into if they had continued to perform as a group.

I always liked the Yellow Submarine...
fanciful and light and all. But my fave is probably not Beatles, but pure Lennon -- "Imagine." The group was nothing if not versatile. :)

I must be getting tired as well as old. I just realized I cited The Kinks in a reply to a comment on my post about the Beatles. At least they were both British groups and I had just finished a novelty poem using Kinks song titles.

Glad to hear it! I never was much of a musician and my singing voice frightens dogs and small children. But the Kinks' music still makes me want to get up and dance -- even at my age.
