To create a link on Firefox for the Mac, please go to the place you wish to insert the link and click the Link (

) icon. Here is an example:
This is a link to Blogit
I am using FireFox 1.5.0.7 for the Mac to write this comment. If the Link icon does not work for you, please let me know what happens, e.g. does the Link dialog box not appear?
This method does not currently work on Safari. To add HTML directly on Safari, please click the angle brackets icon at the bottom-left of the editing box.

Jackie, I have tried both Firefox and Safari
and not even pasting basic html links let alone hyperlinks works in either. I used to be able to past in the basic html and painstakingly type in the link but now that doesn't work. <a href="http://www.blogit.com/">This is a link</a> - I don't know if that comes up as a link for you but for me it always ends up as a bunch of html.
I think that Blogit should think about obtaining a mac so that you can test things to see how it is for customers who use macs.

I do understand your disappointment that this feature does not yet work on Safari. We will look into it. We have already addressed several issues with Safari today, so if this can also be addressed quickly, we will do so.
For now, a short-term solution is Firefox. We have addressed all of the known toolbar issues with Firefox on the Mac, including the font limitations you reported on Wednesday. Please note that you may need to close and reopen Firefox, or delete your temporary files, to see the latest toolbar.
If you experience any other issues using Safari or Firefox, please let us know and we will work on getting them addressed. (One known issue on Safari: inserting an emoticon or picture, or changing the paragraph style of text, may cause one character to be deleted.)

I realise I can link using the link list on the side
and will refer to the list on the right side of the page. However, she says wistfully, it would be so nice to have links within a post just like all the other kids
