Many thanks.  Yes, I am vigorously pursuing the capacity to savour each moment and experience.  It isn't always easy, but not impossible.  Its a goal. Cheers.

well the way you write you obviously have a great capacity to savour each moment Greenfields and I hope deadlines never diminish that capacity

"nothing earth shattering will happen if I don't meet my deadlines"
I find this too now and it's OK if you work for reasonable people or are not producing a daily newspaper.

Fellow Bloggers

Loved all your comments!  'Exaggerated' Buddist viewpoint, is when I take  the Buddhist view too seriously and need to review and fit it into my 21st century lifestyle.  Actually, its just somethinig that popped into my mind as I was writing the blog.  Now, I am justifyiing my response.

I am a procrastinator also (confession time), but I realise some of this is because its work I am not enjoying.  Yesteday I told my husband that we both need to do non-brain things.  So, Sunday (husband's birthday) I am making prawn curry and rice.  Blogger friends are invited!

What is the exaggerated Buddhist approach to life?

Don't give up your blogs, or your breakfast.

You will get to things
when they need getting to.  Worrying doesn't help them get done.  But you know all that.  I too am envious of your trip to the Taj Majal.  Someday i hope I can see it with my own eyes.

It's a writerly quirk
to shirk the work in favor of distraction. To think of finishing and satisfaction, of tasks completed and what next steps are due can make a shape shifter out of you.

Greenfields
With Buddha's backing, believe me nothing is asking for too much. Just enjoy non-doing too so that doing becomes pleasurable. Sometimes, I mean.

The breakfast you were describing
sounded delicious until I saw what it was associated to in your life. I will stick to my single hard boiled egg, thank you very much

I'm envious of the Taj Mahal. As far as being busy goes, I sometimes find
that when I have much to do outside Blogit, I'm in here more than ever. Procrastination, I think they call it. You're right though - deadlines seem crucial, then they pass and life goes on.
