Azur - no doubt you've had everyone tell you that things will get better...
and even if it seems like they don't - they will. If nothing else cheers you, then think of all the people out there (including strangers here on blogit) that truly wish you the very best.

Look after yourself and take care of your loved ones and most importantly don't lose faith in yourself.

Hello Azur, happy belated birthday.

My daughters birthday was the 27th. She is now 5, going on 13.  I'm sorry for all of your bad luck. My mom tells me bad luck comes in threes.  I know it hurts, and I'm sorry you are having to deal with the downs.  A few months ago, my brothers girlfriend dumped him, and then his car was stolen, and then to top it off, he was turned down a job that he just took a $12,000 loan out to pay for training him how to do the job.  Remember the old days when companies paid for job training?  Anyway, I hope your luck improves, and you have fun canoeing or kayaking.

Hi there,
Hope you're feeling a little better today but I think you are considering your latest post. I can't but help feel that you're almost there - don't give up now. All the advice you've given me has helped me out - I'm sure it's out there working for you. I do know how you feel though, you think you've nailed the perfect query and then they come back with a "No thanks but we'll keep your details on record." (As if.) Anyway, aanhouer wen. (In English - it's basically he keeps trying, wins.)

A surprise birthday card and chocolate? Woo! Hoo!
And a 20% chance of getting a paid job?   Beats 100% of nothin' ventured.  Maybe the best dream job in the whole world isn't just waiting for you to find it. Maybe you'll have to settle for a plain Jane job that will keep the wolf from the door and enable you to concentrate on your darling adorable four-year-old and the occasional burst of creative effort. Is that so bad?  Hope your day and your "surprise" turn out to be fun!

Azur, I wish the BN's hungry writers could band together.

Y'all could rob a bank?

Or better yet, edit and agent for other writers. Not much each, but in quantity...and you make new contacts.

Keep writing, but if thinking inside the box keeps failing, get another box. And remember the Wiley Coyote school of life...flap your arms like hell and DON'T LOOK DOWN.

Azur, I hate to see anyone struggle, especially when some well deserved
break doesn't come through after so much effort. You must be tired and frustrated as hell.  I hope you can enjoy your birthday, and keep the faith in better things to come anyway.  Sometimes, it's good to rely on faith, I think, because the best laid plans of mice and men aft go agly.

azur - it is always hardest right before the break and the break can be

very long in coming indeed.   i will send prayers that a break comes your way soon.

in the meantime, wishing you a birthday filled with the love from those around you.   do not deny your day but love yourself, embrace that riches that bless you every day.  you're very important to us, the world, and your contributions do matter.

have a great day, azur.

Happy Birthday, I shall join the chorus of well-wishers.
Happy birthday
better days
your way
the sun shines regardless
no matter how helpless
look at your friends
lending a hand
look at this way
or that way
in and out
upside down
life will turn around
some day...
soon
or I'll eat my hat!

Azur,
I hear ya. But, even though it may be hard to see now, major things really do happen for a reason. You need to think and say aloud (even if you don't fully believe it) that things are getting better and your luck and life is changing for the better. Positive energy attracts the same back unto you and vise versa about the negative. I do hope you still try to have a nice birthday and remember how many of us adore you.

Azur, don't give up...
I know things can get really depressing sometimes, but hang in there. Life can also change for the better overnight. I believe that you will get what you deserve: positive if you work and try hard., negative if you don't deserve better. You just have to accept the timeframe in which things occur.

Birthday - it is your own, very personal New Year.
May the every day of your next year have a chance to be the happiest day of your life. Have always flowers around you - they are smiles of Earth, and friends to be with - they are angels, who support our wings, when it seems to us, that we forgot how to fly. Happy Birthday!

When we're at the bottom of a hill, the only way is to climb up. Your luck will change soon.
