A plea for comity and understanding

Look, this is the era of specialization, and expecting a rock star to know anything about international geo-political realities is like expecting Don Rumsfeld to perform a credible Hamlet. It's not gonna happen.

As a Rapidly Aging Republican Media Creep W/Attitude who was, in a former incarnation a dead-serious performance artist (guitar/comedy single, singer-songwriter in a few Rock and Roll bands, etc.), I can say with a measure of authority that your professional artist, with very few exceptions (Ayn Rand and John D. MacDonald come immediately to mind) a child. He/she is well versed in fantasy and creativity, but generally speaking, knows squat about politics, economics or much else of value in the Real World.

When some fantisist pulls a stunt like this one, "Just Don't Look." They have zero expertise in this arena of human knowledge, and anyone who takes their opinions on such matters is probably too stupid to live, anyway.

Having said all that, let me say Pink Floyd is a great band, one of the best to come out of an unusually fecund era in pop culture.

But I wouldn't vote for 'em on a bet.

They're likely to lose if they show up the wrong day.
Republicans should jump in with their own advertising to dems and push the November 2nd message.  =)
