Mysteria, you described Cruella DeVille. But marriage doesn't work for
most people and that's why the divorce rate is so high.  It is also why marriages are not lasting but for shorter periods of time.  Marriage is work.  Marriage is a job.  That's why you sign a contract.  To keep the contract valid and get the desired payment, you must care about and work at your job (the relationship).

According to a recent study announced on CNN last night SlyCy, more and
more people are remaining single.  Why?  Options, my friend.  I am 43 and still unmarried.  Do I care to marry?  No.  Does the idea of marriage bother me.  Again, no.  Marriage is a contract, and like any other contract, is only as good as those who have pledged to honor it.  Simple, really.  The problem arises from unrealistic expectations of the institution not being met or any of a number of breaches of said contract.

Incredible Story. Good For Her For Kicking Some A** and Surviving
I wonder a lot about marriage too.  I suppose many people are successful with it.  To me it is like a fairy tale.  Too good to be true.  I am, I think destined to be a spinster!  Long furry purple coat, cigarette holder, and several dozen cats sounds great to me!

One of the leading causes of divorce is marriage.
Though marriage does seem to work for a great many people.

I avoided such a sticky situation by never getting married in the first
place.

Well, this guy's ex-dream became a nightmare, Whacky.

Well hiring someone to kill your ex is a bit extreme.

Isn't it?
