I don't like being right
in such cases. That woman seems like she needs an attitude adjustment but then again she must be under stress living with someone in this state

Lost,
I just hope she understands what's at risk here.

John,
She knows that I'm with them all the way in seeing that he gets well, but she has to wake up and realize she has to do her part as well.   She was supposed to go in to see the doctor after his visit on Monday and to date, she has not gone.

Symphony,
I just hope this doesn't backfire on her or on any of us for that matter.

Blanche,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.  I suspect that it will take him some time before he is back to normal and part of the problem is that they are not living at the same place.  I know the doctor recommended strongly that he go back home and that as long as he refuses to go home, he isn't well.

At the end of two weeks, if they are still not together the odds are he will still not be stable and will come to work and I'll have to send him home again.

Or it could be, word.smith, that his wife is terrified and broke, and doesn't know how to cope.  She is leaving his treatment to an authority figure - that would be you, word.

I guess she doesn't want to admit there is a real problem
take care

Word.smith, his wife is an idiot and a greedy one at that.

She is obviously closing her eyes to her husband's condition, out of a desire for his paytcheck, which makes me wonder does she care for her husband and his wellbeing or the check he bring in and I think the answer is obvious.

One way or the other, he'll end up in the hospital, because he's clearly psychotic and he is a danger to himself and anyone around him, especially if he's a raving paranoiac, just be careful that if you intervene he doesn't focus his paranoid fantasies on you.  If he isn't involuntarily committed soon, he should be, as resistant as he will be to that.  He will probably resist, and you are not in a position to match him physically.  Hopefully, he will get the trreatment he needs, medication can only do so much, he'll need to be kept calm enough, in a secure locatoin to regain his senses and separate reality from delusion, and that is truly in God's hands. I pray for him and for you, because I have been in his situation. I was that raving psyhotic, and God has brought me back to my senses.  God be with you all.

Julia, as time goes by
I am finding out that common sense is not as common as it ought to be.

hi Tigerprincess,
Nice to see you.  Things are actually a lot less tense around the office right now. Hopefully, he'll be back to normal soon.
